Rocky Derrick

Co-Founder | Managing Partner

Rocky Derrick launched TDC with Mark Taylor in 2011. Since that time, Rocky has been instrumental in raising over $1B of capital into TDC’s various funds and has led the origination of over $3.8B in loans and equity investments. Rocky continues to lead TDC with the principles of honesty, integrity and transparency on which the firm was founded. Together with his partners and experienced management team, Rocky leads all aspects of TDC’s debt and equity investment operations. He takes an active role in overseeing underwriting, portfolio management and investor relations. Rocky is committed to creating and fostering long-standing relationships with borrowers, development partners and investors.

Rocky’s leadership of TDC leverages his wide-ranging experience in underwriting, distressed asset resolution, investment and development of multiple commercial and residential asset types. Prior to forming TDC, Rocky consulted for and advised real estate lenders, developers, institutional asset managers, and equity fund and REIT investment advisers. He also worked as the SVP of Loan Origination & Asset Management for CM Capital Services during the real estate recession, managing the workouts and repositioning of over $600M in distressed loans. Rocky gained vast experience as the VP of Acquisitions & Development for Seegmiller Partners, where he managed the development of over $100M in real estate projects in Nevada and California.

Rocky holds a master’s degree in Real Estate Development from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Utah, where he is currently an adjunct professor in the Master of Real Estate Development (MRED) program.

Andrew Menlove

Partner | Operations

Andrew Menlove oversees all deal fundings, asset management, legal and operational compliance for TDC. With his background in engineering, legal and real estate development, Andrew evaluates borrower and deal suitability while overseeing loan fundings and draws, equity investments and exit strategies. He also performs portfolio diversification and strategic growth analysis in concert with Rocky Derrick and TDC’s management team.

Prior to joining TDC in 2014, Andrew served as VP of Portfolio Management for CM Capital Services in Las Vegas, Nevada, where he completed the disposition of a $600M portfolio of private debt assets. Andrew foreclosed on over 400 commercial loans and then repositioned and sold off each asset. He also managed the Planning & Development group for Pulte Homes in Las Vegas, Nevada, where he oversaw the development of over 20,000 lots. Andrew has experience working with developers in Nevada and Utah on multiple asset types including single family homes, apartments, condominiums, office, retail, industrial, golf course and farming operations. Andrew started his professional career as a consulting engineer in Arizona, Texas and Utah.

Andrew holds a Juris Doctor from the William S. Boyd School of Law at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas and a bachelor’s degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Utah State University. Andrew is a licensed attorney.

Nick Etherington

Partner | Underwriting & Origination

Nick Etherington oversees underwriting and originations for TDC. He identifies and cultivates borrower, broker, bank and other relationships to promote deal flow, diversification and overall firm growth. With over 15 years of commercial and residential real estate experience, Nick is responsible for the strict evaluation and vetting of potential loan opportunities through in-depth financial market analysis, property analysis, site visits and evaluation of deal strength and exit strategies.

Prior to joining TDC in 2013, Nick served as Portfolio Manager at Zions Bank in Salt Lake City, Utah, where he performed in-depth analysis of commercial real estate transactions and managed approximately $400M in real estate assets. He also worked for Leucadia National Corporation on three large-scale development projects in Florida and Utah. Nick started his career in real estate as an agent with RE/MAX Associates in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Nick holds a master’s degree in Business Administration from the College of William and Mary and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Utah.

Carie McNeil

Partner | Investor Relations

Carie McNeil directly oversees all aspects of investor relations for TDC, including the creation, planning and execution of investor programs. Carie develops and maintains relationships with investors and is instrumental in the organic growth of the firm’s investor base, as it relates to TDC’s overall growth. She works closely with the compliance, operations and finance teams to ensure that the raising and deployment of capital work in tandem, while remaining accessible and responsive to all investors. In her decade-plus tenure with TDC, Carie has remained dedicated to ensuring the quality, high-priority customer service on which the firm was built.

Carie, who has over 20 years of real estate experience, joined TDC in 2012. Having gained exposure and experience in many aspects of the organization, she gravitated toward investor relations as the firm grew. Before joining TDC, Carie founded a successful boutique real estate business in Henderson, Nevada that focused on niche real estate product/area expertise. Prior to that, Carie was a high-volume Realtor in Las Vegas, Nevada for a nationwide homebuilder. She also previously owned and operated her own businesses in retail and manufacturing. Carie began her career working in investor relations for a publicly traded mining company in Vancouver, British Columbia.

Carie holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Victoria in British Columbia, Canada.

Tally Ringwood

Partner | Finance

Tally Ringwood oversees all aspects of TDC's finances and accounting, including financial reporting, coordination of financial audits and regulatory compliance. Tally performs cash flow analysis, forecasting and budget preparation as well as strategic analysis and growth modeling. Tally, along with the investor relations team, develops relationships with prospective and existing investors.

Prior to joining TDC in 2016, Tally served as Controller for the Utah Jazz in Salt Lake City, Utah, where he oversaw all accounting and tax matters as well as regulatory compliance for the organization. He also served as Business Director for Savage Services in Salt Lake City, Utah, where he performed financial reporting and advised on growth strategies and risk mitigation for the firm. Prior to that, Tally was an Audit Senior at Deloitte, based out of their Southern California office, where he gained considerable experience auditing both public and private companies in a variety of industries.

Tally holds a master’s degree in Accounting from the University of Utah and a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Brigham Young University. Tally is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).

Carl Ager

Chief Compliance Officer

Carl Ager is responsible for overseeing and maintaining TDC's compliance programs. He monitors and manages all firm initiatives in support of TDC’s fiduciary and regulatory responsibilities which have state and federal oversight.

Prior to joining TDC in 2018, Carl served as VP of Operations for a mineral exploration company, where he was involved in corporate strategy, SEC compliance and investor relations. Carl also owned and operated CSA Management Corp., consulting on financial and regulatory matters for mineral exploration companies. Additionally, Carl worked as a licensed Investment Executive for Scotia McLeod, one of Canada’s leading full-service brokerage firms.

Carl holds a Bachelor of Applied Science degree from Queen’s University in Ontario, Canada.

Stacy Anderson

Controller

Stacy Anderson administers TDC's financial accounting, ensuring fiduciary compliance. She performs financial analysis and forecasting, while managing TDC’s fiscal controls, including draw management and loan servicing.

Stacy has been an integral member of TDC since the firm’s inception in 2011. She holds over 25 years of accounting experience, including extensive involvement managing multimillion-dollar finance and accounting operations in the real estate and non-real estate sectors. Prior to joining TDC, Stacy served as Corporate Controller at Westcorp Management Group in Las Vegas, Nevada, where she oversaw all monthly accounting operations and tax regulations. She also served as Assistant Controller for Majestic Star Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada and as a Financial Analyst at Reebok International in Canton, Massachusetts.

Stacy holds a master’s degree in Organizational Management from the University of Phoenix and a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Fitchburg State University.

Kelley Dixon

Director of Loan Funding

Kelley Dixon manages all loan fundings for TDC's debt portfolio. To date, she has managed over 700 loan fundings for the firm. With over 20 years of experience in handling real estate transactions, Kelley also assists in ongoing loan portfolio management, including loan modifications, extensions and payoffs.

Prior to joining TDC in 2013, Kelley managed the real estate department in a Connecticut law firm, where she worked for over 15 years and closed upwards of 750 commercial and residential real estate transactions annually.

Kelley holds an associate’s degree in Business Administration from the College of Southern Nevada and is currently working towards a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration.

Leslie Linnemeyer

Director of Operations

Leslie Linnemeyer is responsible for the development of TDC's human resources, information technology, marketing and compliance programs. She liaises with all departments to implement programs promoting operational efficiencies and regulatory compliance.

Prior to joining TDC in 2017, Leslie served as Portfolio Communications Manager for CM Capital Services (CMCS) in Las Vegas, Nevada focusing on investor communications, regulatory compliance and REO asset management. Preceding that, she managed all aspects of human resources for CMCS and its affiliates. Leslie began her career assisting in human resources and marketing for a computer software developer in Los Angeles, California.

Leslie holds a master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Boston University.

Ike Ayre

Director of Debt Asset Management

Ike Ayre is responsible for TDC's debt portfolio asset management and for promoting long-term relationships with borrowers. He manages the loans from the time of funding through payoff or return of capital, overseeing all draws and collaborating with borrowers on budgets and schedules.

Ike has over 15 years of real estate development and evaluation experience. Prior to joining TDC in 2018, Ike served as a Municipal Adjustor & Project Manager for Lowther & Associates in Salt Lake City, Utah, where he represented governmental entities and insurance companies to assess liability and exposure on real property insurance incidents up to $10M. Before that, he worked as a commercial Realtor for Albright Callister in Las Vegas, Nevada. Ike also worked as a Project Manager & Field Superintendent in Las Vegas, Nevada for nationwide homebuilder Pulte Homes.

Ike holds a master’s degree in Finance from Northeastern University and a bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Utah.

Brett Peters

Director of Underwriting & Origination

Brett Peters is integral in the identification and evaluation of TDC's potential loan opportunities. He performs in-depth financial and market analysis of new loan requests to determine the viability of potential deals for TDC across various real estate asset classes. Brett works closely with Nick Etherington to promote deal flow, portfolio diversification and long-term borrower relationships. He also collaborates with the underwriting and origination team to complete loan due diligence and uphold TDC’s strict lending standards.

Before joining TDC in 2020, Brett completed real estate development, acquisitions and underwriting analyst internships in New York and Utah.

Brett holds a a Master of Real Estate Development (MRED) degree from the University of Utah and a bachelor’s degree in Finance from Brigham Young University.

Ben Walker

Director of Capital Strategies

Ben Walker is responsible for identifying new loan and equity opportunities as well as conducting in-depth financial and market analysis to determine the viability of potential deals for TDC across various real estate asset classes. Working closely with the TDC Partners and the debt and equity underwriting and origination teams, Ben promotes deal flow, portfolio diversification and long-term borrower and equity partner relationships while upholding TDC’s strict deal evaluation standards.

Prior to joining TDC in 2022, Ben served for more than five years at Utah Retirement Systems in Salt Lake City, Utah, most recently as a Senior Investment Analyst. There, he led the underwriting and acquisition of over $2B in real estate assets, including the buildout of storage, manufactured housing, data center and REIT portfolios. Before that, Ben was the Senior Investment Analyst for Knox Capital Group in Salt Lake City, Utah, where he evaluated and advised on several asset classes including REITs and privately-owned real estate.

Ben holds a master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Notre Dame and Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science degrees from Westminster College. Ben is a CFA® charterholder.

Alec Taylor

Senior Equity Asset Manager

Alec Taylor is responsible for TDC’s equity portfolio asset management. He works closely with the Managing Partner and Director of Capital Strategies and with TDC’s equity partners on asset acquisition, development, operations, sales/lease-ups and investment returns.

Prior to joining TDC in 2025, Alec served as Director of Investments and Acquisitions for Boulder Ventures Development, Inc., a commercial real estate developer in Salt Lake City, Utah. There, he underwrote and analyzed feasibility on a variety of ground up and acquisition multifamily, townhome and retail assets, generated construction budgets and valuations, and oversaw construction management. Alec supervised all facets of development and asset management, including managing entitlements, market research, lease-up strategies, capital investment needs and debt compliance.

Alec holds both a master’s degree and a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Brigham Young University.

Sarah Allen

Finance Manager

Sarah Allen is responsible for the coordination and review of fund financial reports and audits for TDC. She works closely with Tally Ringwood, investor relations, compliance and TDC’s third-party fund administrator in the preparation, review and posting of financial reports and statements to ensure timely and accurate reporting and fiduciary compliance.

Sarah joined TDC in 2022 with extensive knowledge of TDC’s finance operations, having served for over six years as Assistant Fund Manager for TDC's prior third-party fund administrator, Alter Domus, in Salt Lake City, Utah. In this role, Sarah supervised accounting closes, oversaw capital transactions and investor allocations, inspected financial reporting deliverables, coordinated annual audit and tax preparations, and managed support requests.

Sarah holds master’s degrees in Accounting and in Business Administration from Southern Utah University and a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Utah State University. Sarah is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).

Suzi Meyer

Investor Relations Manager

Suzi Meyer is integral in the collection, management and review of investor documents, composition and distribution of investor communications, administration of investor platforms and programs, and implementation and ongoing execution of investment adviser compliance practices and programs for TDC.

Suzi joined TDC in 2017, holding Executive Assistant and Office Manager roles and gaining exposure and experience in many aspects of the organization before concentrating her efforts full-time on investor relations. Prior to joining TDC, Suzi dedicated over 20 years to a large medical center in Salt Lake City, Utah, most recently serving as Director of Marketing. In this role, she developed marketing strategies, performed budgeting and oversaw the development of all marketing collateral. Preceding that, Suzi was the Office Manager for the medical center’s Multiple Sclerosis Clinic.

Sam Hicken

Senior Analyst

Sam Hicken provides support in the evaluation of TDC's potential loan opportunities. Sam performs research and analysis of new loan requests and works closely with the underwriting and origination team to complete loan due diligence and uphold TDC’s strict lending standards.

Prior to joining TDC in 2024, Sam served as an Appraiser Trainee and Market Analyst at Western States Multifamily in Salt Lake City, Utah. There, he provided market studies and valuation services on market rate and affordable multifamily projects for developers, lenders and government agencies throughout Utah.

Sam holds a Master of Real Estate Development (MRED) degree from the University of Utah and a Bachelor of Science degree from Utah Valley University.

DeDee Hardman

Senior Executive Assistant

DeDee Hardman provides high-level administrative support to TDC’s executive leadership team while liaising with all TDC employees to promote operational efficiencies and organizational objectives. DeDee’s role also includes event coordination, marketing initiative collaboration and special project management.

Prior to joining TDC in 2025, DeDee served for several years as Executive Assistant and Office Manager at a private school in Salt Lake City, Utah, where she supported and collaborated with senior management and led several administrative and operational improvement initiatives. DeDee also has a comprehensive background in the mortgage industry, in which she was a licensed loan originator for over two decades.

Zeke Archibald

Analyst

Zeke Archibald provides support in the evaluation of potential TDC loan opportunities. He works closely with the underwriting and origination team on new loan requests, performing asset, market and borrower research and analysis.

Prior to joining TDC in 2025, Zeke interned for CBRE's capital markets team, where he underwrote potential investment opportunities and helped create BOVs for the multifamily brokerage team. Additionally, Zeke worked as a Fund Accountant Analyst for Bridge Investment Group in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Zeke holds a bachelor’s degree in Finance and Business Analytics from Brigham Young University–Idaho.

Lea Colburn

Investor Relations Specialist

Lea Colburn liaises with investors to perform onboarding and account maintenance activities for TDC. She upholds TDC’s quality customer service and compliance standards in the collection, management and review of investor documents, and in providing investor relations support.

Prior to joining TDC in 2022, Lea worked for more than eight years for a pest control conglomerate in Las Vegas, Nevada. Most recently serving as Office Manager & Reporting Specialist, Lea performed fiscal and administrative reporting and implemented human resources and training protocols for the firm, while gaining extensive customer service experience.

Lea holds a bachelor’s degree in Public Relations from George Mason University.

Boston Ballard

Asset Manager

Boston Ballard supports TDC's debt asset management team in monitoring the health of the construction loan portfolio, evaluating construction budgets, schedules and sales, and working with borrowers throughout all project development phases.

Prior to joining TDC in 2024, Boston was a Brokerage Assistant at The Woodman Company in Fort Worth, Texas, where he performed real estate market research and analysis, property valuation and commercial asset marketing.

Boston holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Texas Christian University.

Hannah Andrews

Loan Funding Assistant

Hannah Andrews supports TDC's loan funding team in the preparation of loan transactions for timely close of escrow. She works closely with Kelley Dixon to prepare loan documentation, evaluate title commitments and complete loan closing due diligence in accordance with TDC’s strict lending standards.

Before joining TDC in 2024, Hannah was an Administrative Assistant for a digital marketing company in Las Vegas, Nevada. Prior to that, she served as a Credit Underwriter and Credit Team Manager for a national lender specializing in personal and small business loans.

David Bromley – President, Ensign Properties

Dave is Co-Founder of Ensign Properties, a developer and manager of affiliate-owned industrial, office, retail and residential real estate. As a licensed CPA with significant accounting credentials developed through his work at Deloitte & Touche and other firms, Dave also manages private equity investments held by Ensign’s affiliated entities in companies throughout the Intermountain West.

David Parkin – Partner, Tower Arch Capital

Dave is a Partner at Tower Arch Capital. Prior to co-founding Tower Arch Capital, he was a Partner at Huntsman Gay Global Capital. Dave’s career began at Huntsman Corporation where he spent 15 years.

Jared Broadbent – Entrepreneur & Consultant, Private Funds

Jared has worked in the fund industry for over 25 years. He co-founded Strata Fund Solutions, a fund administration company servicing the private equity, real estate and venture capital investment sectors. Strata was acquired in 2021 by global administration firm, Alter Domus. Prior to Strata, Jared worked extensively in the alternative investment sector as a CPA for KPMG LLP.

Robert Simmons – CFO, SkyWest Inc.

Robert has extensive experience in managing growth-oriented companies. He serves currently as the Chief Financial Officer of SkyWest Inc., a $4B publicly traded company that owns and operates SkyWest Airlines and SkyWest Charter. Prior to SkyWest, Robert was a Partner at Bendigo Partners and Chief Financial Officer for E*TRADE Financial.

Taylor Derrick Capital was founded by Mark Taylor and Rocky Derrick in 2011 under the principles of honesty, integrity and transparency. 

Mark passed away on October 21, 2015. He was a true visionary, a brilliant leader and a man of integrity. TDC continues to honor Mark’s legacy by upholding the unwavering principles on which the company was founded.
