Mr. Walker is responsible for identifying new loan and equity opportunities and conducting in-depth financial and market analysis to determine the viability of potential deals for Taylor Derrick Capital (TDC) across various real estate asset classes. Working closely with the TDC Partners and the debt and equity underwriting and origination teams, Mr. Walker promotes deal flow, portfolio diversification and long-term borrower and equity partner relationships while upholding TDC’s strict deal evaluation standards.
Prior to joining TDC, Mr. Walker served for more than five years at Utah Retirement Systems in Salt Lake City, Utah, most recently as a Senior Investment Analyst. There he led the underwriting and acquisition of over $2B in real estate assets, including the buildout of storage, manufactured housing, data center and REIT portfolios. Before that, Mr. Walker was the Senior Investment Analyst for Knox Capital Group in Salt Lake City, Utah where he evaluated and advised on several asset classes including REITs and privately-owned real estate.
Mr. Walker holds a master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Notre Dame and Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science degrees from Westminster College. Mr. Walker is a CFA® charterholder.
